Parties Involved:

• Client: The entity or individual commissioning the creation of 5 Garhwali song lyrics.
• Songwriter/Composer: The individual or agency responsible for writing and composing the Garhwali songs.

Budget:

₹10,000 (for 5 songs, inclusive of all applicable taxes).

Scope of Work:

The songwriter will create 5 original Garhwali songs, focusing on the rich cultural heritage, local traditions, and emotional expressions central to the Garhwali community. The songs will be created with both traditional and modern musical influences to ensure they resonate with a broad audience.

1. Song Themes:

   • The 5 Garhwali songs will cover diverse themes, reflecting the local lifestyle, beliefs, and values of the Garhwali people. These may include:
     • Nature and Mountains: Celebrating the region’s stunning landscapes and the spiritual connection the people have with the mountains.
     • Cultural Festivals: Songs about Garhwali festivals, local customs, and rituals.
     • Love and Relationships: Expressing the emotions tied to love, familial bonds, and relationships.
     • Social Issues and Rural Life: Addressing contemporary social topics such as youth empowerment, agriculture, and rural life.
     • Historical Legends and Folk Tales: Narratives based on local folklore or historical figures from the Garhwal region.

2. Songwriting Process:

   • Lyrics Writing: The songwriter will write the lyrics in Garhwali, ensuring cultural relevance and maintaining the poetic integrity of the language. Each song will include a well-structured composition, featuring verses, choruses, and possible bridges, allowing for an engaging listening experience.
   • Composition and Arrangement: The songwriter will create melodies for each song, incorporating traditional Garhwali instruments such as the dhol, flute, and sarangi, blended with contemporary instruments where appropriate. The compositions will be written in a way that they can be easily performed and adapted for various musical arrangements.
   • Client Feedback and Revisions: The client will have the opportunity to review each song’s lyrics and composition. Any changes or revisions requested will be incorporated to ensure the final result meets the client’s satisfaction.

3. Delivery of Materials:

   • Written Lyrics: The songwriter will provide the final lyrics in a Word document format, ensuring they are easy to read and understand.
   • Audio Demos (Optional): If specified in the contract, the songwriter may also provide audio demos of the songs in a basic format (e.g., piano or guitar-based demos).
   • Final Songs (Optional): Should the client wish to proceed with professional recording, the songwriter may be involved in helping arrange the final recordings (additional costs may apply).

4. Timeline:
   The songwriter will complete the 5 songs within 5 weeks from the date of contract signing, as follows:

   • Week 1-2: Delivery of the first two songs (lyrics and composition).
   • Week 3-4: Delivery of the third and fourth songs, plus any revisions required for previous songs.
   • Week 5: Delivery of the final song and final revisions if needed.

5. Payment Terms:

   • 20% advance payment upon signing the contract (₹2,000).
   • 40% after delivery of the first 3 songs (₹4,000).
   • 40% upon completion and final approval of all 5 songs (₹4,000).

6. Rights and Ownership:

   • The client will hold full ownership of the lyrics and compositions upon receipt of full payment.
   • The songwriter retains the right to use the songs in their portfolio or for promotional purposes, but must seek written consent from the client for any other commercial use or distribution beyond the scope of this contract.

7. Termination Clause:
   If either party wishes to terminate the contract:

• A 15-day written notice is required.
• If terminated during the process, the client will compensate the songwriter for any work already completed, including lyrics and compositions delivered.

8. Confidentiality Clause:
   The songwriter agrees to keep all song lyrics, compositions, and related materials confidential until the songs are publicly released. Any breach of this confidentiality will result in legal consequences.
