Hotel Management Software Specialist
We are seeking a Hotel Management Software Specialist to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will manage and optimize the hotel’s software systems to enhance operational efficiency, guest experience, and revenue generation. This role involves configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Property Management Systems (PMS) and other hospitality software tools, training staff, and providing day-to-day support for software-related issues. Additionally, you will collaborate with different departments to ensure seamless integration of software across operations such as reservations, check-ins, guest services, and billing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Hospitality Management, or related fields.
- Certifications in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Cloudbeds).
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry is highly preferred.
- Experience with cloud-based systems for hotels is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with Property Management Systems (PMS): Familiarity with common systems like Opera, Cloudbeds, RoomRaccoon, Protel, or similar.
- Point of Sale (POS) Systems Knowledge: Ability to manage and troubleshoot POS systems, such as Micros, Lightspeed, or others.
- CRM & Channel Management Software: Understanding of customer relationship management and online booking channel tools (e.g., Salesforce, SiteMinder, etc.).
- Database Management: Knowledge of SQL, MySQL, or other databases used by hotel software systems.
- Networking and IT Systems: Familiarity with general networking and systems administration, including cloud-based systems and software-as-a-service (SaaS).
Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
- Ability to troubleshoot software issues quickly and efficiently.
- Analytical skills to interpret performance data and implement optimizations.
Training and Communication:
- Strong communication skills for training staff and liaising with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.
Project Management:
- Ability to manage software implementations, updates, and ensure compliance with deadlines.
- Experience working with vendors and service providers.
Data Privacy & Security:
- Knowledge of GDPR, PCI-DSS, or other data protection regulations.
- Experience with ensuring software systems meet industry security standards.
Customer Service Skills:
- A hospitality-first attitude, ensuring the software solutions contribute to an excellent guest experience.
- Experience working in hospitality or understanding of hotel operations.
Adaptability and Flexibility:
- Ability to adapt to new software technologies and industry changes.
- Willingness to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, especially during hotel peak times.
